How do I make 1-Sided Photo Cards?

Creating 1-sided photo cards in the SimplePrints app is quick and easy! Follow the steps below to design and order your custom cards today.

*SimplePrints on iOS v6.36.6 or later

1. Start a New Project

  • Open the SimplePrints app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Tap the Projects tab and select + to start a new project.
  • Or tap Catalog → Photo Cards from the main screen.

2. Select Card Type

  • Choose 1-Sided Photo Cards.
  • Tap the blue arrow to continue.
  • Tap Get Started to begin creating your photo cards.

3. Choose a Template

  • Select a template for the Front Side of your card and then for the Back Side of your card.
  • Swipe through available options to preview designs.
  • You can change the template later if needed.

4. Choose a Layout for the Front Side of the Card

  • Tap Layout to adjust the photo arrangement within your chosen template.
  • Try different layouts until you find one that fits your design best, and then tap the down arrow to collapse the menu.

5. Choose a design for the Back Side of the card

  • Tap on BACK to toggle to the Back Side of the card
  • Tap Templates to select a design and tap the down arrow to collapse the menu when finished.

6. Add Photos and Text

And now the fun part! Let's add the photos and text to your cards.

  • From the Front Side of the card, tap the image to add a photo from your device.
  • Tap the photo to enter the Photo Editor.


  • Next, tap Text Editor and select the Font you would like to use on your photo card by scrolling through the available options.
  • Tap Color to select the font color you would like to use:

You also have the option to select a Background color. Tap anywhere on the card to close the Background menu or tap the down arrow.

7. Preview Your Card

  • Tap Preview in the top right corner to preview both sides of your card.
  • Be sure to review your photo placement and spelling before continuing to checkout.


8. Add to Cart and Checkout

  • When you’re satisfied, tap Add to Cart.
  • From the Cart screen, you can:
    • Edit the quantity of cards.
    • Add/Remove Items
    • Continue to Checkout to enter shipping information, review pricing, and add payment information to complete your order.
