What do the exclamation marks on my photos mean?
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that you are using the most recent version of the SimplePrints app to ensure that these features are enabled on your device.
For iOS:
We use yellow, blue, and red exclamation marks in the SimplePrints iOS app to help customers quickly identify potential issues with their photos. Each color represents a different type of alert.
Yellow Exclamation Mark
Our low-resolution image detector flags photos that are low resolution and will not produce a good print. Low-resolution photos can be caused by taking photos with a low-quality camera, compression from saving or using storage optimization settings on your device, or from taking screenshots of an image.
We can still print your project even if it has low-resolution photos, but we do recommend selecting a higher-resolution photo for the best results. You may also be able to improve your photos' appearance in print by using collages to reduce the image size in print.

Blue Exclamation Mark
Our duplicate image detector flags identical photos. Please note that our app only detects duplicate photos if they were uploaded from the same device. If you have uploaded duplicate photos from different devices, they will not be flagged. We recommend reviewing the flagged photos and removing any identical photos in your project. Managing identical photos ensures that your projects look better and helps to reduce your costs.
Red Double Exclamation Mark
Our multiple issue detector flags pages that are both low-resolution and duplicate images. You can tap on the flag to see the issues with that photo and where else it appears in your project.
For Android:
We use red exclamation marks in the SimplePrints Android app to flag low resolution images. Our Android app does not currently have a duplicate image detector flag.
Red Exclamation Mark
Our low-resolution image detector flags photos that are low resolution and will not produce a good print. Low-resolution photos can be caused by taking photos with a low-quality camera, compression from saving or using storage optimization settings on your device, or from taking screenshots of an image.
